Sunburnt Country Silver Rectangle Coins are released starring Dorothea Mackellar and her beautiful poem, My Country. The Perth Mint released this set of four coins in 2015. These unique and rectangular coins show the beautiful scenery of Australia.
My Country was written in London back in 1904 when Dorothea was homesick and wanted to go back to Australia. The poem was published in 1908 but under the name of Core of My Heart. It wasn’t until later years the poem was known by the name My Country.
The set is available for delivery in the middle of April. The first coin is called The Land of Sweeping Plains. It has gorgeous scenery with two kangaroos playing in a field of wildflowers. This silver coin is one ounce in weight, making it a great silver investment, especially with the prices of silver steadily climbing.
Each rectangular silver coin shows scenery from the scenes in the poem, My Country. The other scenes include a rugged mountain view, droughts and flooding rain, and I love her jewel sea.
Anyone can order the coins individually as well. You don’t want to miss out on these collectable silver coins displaying scenes from the famous poem, My Country. These unique coins are something that you can cherish and enjoy for a lifetime.
