According to the U.S. Mint, the substantial demand for precious metals, gold, and silver still exist even with the summer sales peak season getting over.
The demand reportedly reflects a massive jump from the last year. In the context of the American Eagle gold coins, the number of coins sold in various denominations has reached the highest level since January 2018. And, the total for September tuned to 60,500, which was up 41% from August, as per the latest sales numbers from the U.S. Mint.
In contrast to the amount of American Eagle Gold ounces sold, there was an edge down by more than 4% to around 20,500.
And, every quarter, 77,000 ounces of American Eagle Gold coins in various denominations were sold.
The results look quite decent in the year-to-date perspective, and the total amount of American Eagle gold ounces in various denominations sold is said to have been equal to around 197,500 so far in 2018.
